Ducks Shut Out Bulldogs
|
The Long Island Ducks and Spokane Bulldogs completed their game despite the rain.
Long Island left-hander Chris Riddle was sensational in shutting out the Spokane Bulldogs, 5-0. The winning pitcher was Riddle, now 6-5. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9.
Jeremy Guis took Leonilde Maio deep in the top of the second. His 2-run home run put the Ducks in front, 2-0. For the game, Guis went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Riddle. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
At 30-33, the Ducks are currently 5th in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
