Pitcher Masazumi Ohayashi was sensational for the Spokane Bulldogs in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Carson City Mustang. Ohayashi received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Ohayashi, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Don Gotting recorded the save for Spokane, his 2nd of the season.

In the top of the second, Blair Donahue hit a solo home run for Spokane. The 2nd home run of the season for the Spokane first baseman put the Bulldogs on top, 1-0.

"Masazumi was throwing free and easy," said Spokane manager Wayne Barnes.

The second-place Bulldogs have won 5 straight games.
