Khan Leads Storm Troopers to Win over Ducks
Fans at Long Island Stadium were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Long Island Ducks take on the San Antonio Storm Troopers.

Baber Khan added some punch to the San Antonio offense, helping them outmuscle the Long Island Ducks, 12-7. In the game, Khan was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. António Encarnación got the win, improving to 3-4. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2.

The Storm Troopers got a big at-bat from first baseman Tsurayuki Hasegawa. For the game, Hasegawa went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave San Antonio a 3-0 lead.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Khan.

The Storm Troopers, at 32-30, lead by one game in their division.
