Loss Extends Boise Losing Streak
New York starter Matis Barrier put a stranglehold on the Boise offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Ninjas to a 7-1 win. The Hawks, at 22-38, have lost 6 straight games.

Tied up with the Hawks in the top of the fourth, the Ninjas got a boost from first baseman Yo Yamamoto. With a runner on 1st, Yamamoto saw a first pitch fastball from Po-sin Pang and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put New York on top, 2-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Barrier told the New York Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
