Ninjas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hawks
The game between New York and Boise is in the books, despite a little rain.

The New York Ninjas downed the Boise Hawks, 6-2, in 10 innings. Ernesto Ramos led the way, going 1-for-1 for New York. New York reliever Cristo Hernández picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Hou-kang Li shouldered the loss.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Tadahisa Nakashima's at-bat in the top of the tenth was huge. With two out, the New York center fielder hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Nakashima told the New York Daily News. "You win just by scoring more runs."

The Hawks, at 22-36, have lost 4 in a row.
