Storm Troopers Edge Carson City in Pitching Duel

The Clone Army was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
San Antonio right-hander Steve Ferguson shut out the Carson City Mustang, 1-0. Ferguson, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks.
San Antonio right fielder Karl Fernandes helped the Storm Troopers go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Fernandes hit a run-scoring single off Carson City pitcher Pedro Robles.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager William Rabbetts.
With the win, San Antonio goes to 30-29, while the Mustang fall to 30-29.
