Hornets Stick Codebreakers with 5-2 Loss
|
Benefiting from the performance of José Ibarra, the Eureka Hornets defeated the Columbus Codebreakers, 5-2. Ibarra was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Hornets. Pat Sheffield, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 2-4. Andrés Nevárez earned the save, his 11th.
