Pitkeathy Silences Topeka Bats

The first-place Rock River Rats welcomed Topeka to The Rat Hole.
The Rock River Rats got a superb performance from pitcher Adam Pitkeathy, who shut out the Topeka Predators, 4-0. The Predators, now 28-29, have lost 4 in a row.
Pitkeathy made it look easy. He scattered 4 hits over 7.2 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 7-3.
"I like what I saw today," said Rock River manager John Smiley, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
