Cincinnati withstood an impressive performance by Boise first baseman Gerd Zabel to defeat the Hawks, 6-5, at The Studio. Zabel was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Cincinnati reliever Pedro García was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Eddie MacClung took the loss. Shafeeq bin Nooh closed it out for his 4th save.
