Cincinnati and Boise met at The Studio in front of a lively crowd.
Noboru Nishida was instrumental in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Boise Hawks. The first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cincinnati Snaps. Dae-yun Cho was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.
It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Doeke de Wit, the 23-year old second baseman . de Wit contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the second inning to put Cincinnati up, 3-2.
Nishida told the Cincinnati Gazette: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
The Snaps sit in last place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division with a record of 22-34.
