Wolverines Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mustang
Shigeki Sasaki was superb against Carson City. The right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in innings pitched with 62.2, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 7-4 Wolverines victory. The Wolverines now have a record of 27-28 with the win over Carson City.

Sasaki gave Wichita a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 7 innings.

"Exciting game to play in," said Sasaki. "Getting the win makes it even better."
