The Boise Hawks turned back the Rock River Rats, 9-8, at Basque Block Field. Danny Lewis was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Boise reliever Alejandro Román picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tom Wilson was saddled with the loss. The Hawks saw their win-loss record go to 22-32. At the same time, the Rats fell to 33-20.

César Vallejo was the walk-off hero for Boise. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Boise shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This joint was rocking," said Lewis.
