Conditions were not ideal but Rock River and Boise were able to put their game in the books.
The Rock River Rats picked up a win at Basque Block Field, knocking off the Boise Hawks, 4-0. On the mound for Rock River was left-hander Si-dao Chen, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Chen, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 6.
Early in the game, second baseman Ichizo Hamada had a 2-run home run for Rock River. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rats on top, 2-0.
