Storm Troopers Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Bulldogs
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Spokane Bulldogs at The Clone Army. Nobody did more than pitcher António Encarnación, who captured player of the game honors. Encarnación went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-4. San Antonio is third in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division with a record of 26-26.
San Antonio shortstop Sagramor Vob helped the Storm Troopers to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the 24-year old shortstop stroked a 2-run home run. For the game, Vob was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It feels good to get that win," said Encarnación. "Now it's on to the next one."
