Black Knights Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights and Mile High Mustangs played a tight game at Blue Ivy Stadium, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
The Brooklyn Black Knights went home winners at Blue Ivy Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Felipe Clavijo. Clavijo silenced the Mile High Mustangs, enabling Brooklyn to grab the 3-1 win. Clavijo picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Tokaji Goto closed the game out for Brooklyn, earning his 4th save.
Going deep for Brooklyn was Kojuro Ine. The first baseman had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Black Knights. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Ine was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Ine said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
