Broughall Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cornhuskers
The DeKalb Cornhuskers had to overcome a big game from Wichita right fielder Odilon Barata to leave Earl Campbell Stadium with a 4-3 victory. Barata went 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. DeKalb currently is in 6th place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division at 24-30.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Frank Broughall came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Wichita pitcher Ichiro Hashimoto, he hit a first pitch fastball for a solo home run. It was a game-changer, putting DeKalb on top, 4-3.

"It was a test of wills," said Shusaku Fukuda, the DeKalb skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
