|
Ajyapa Vijayarangan left his imprint on the 9-3 DeKalb win against the Wichita Wolverines. Vijayarangan hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Dick Wassenaer got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 5. DeKalb, now 23-30, holds 6th place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
Vijayarangan had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Cornhuskers went on to win.
