Spartans Fall to Rats, 7-4
|
A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Ovídio Roger led the Rock River Rats to a 7-4 win over the Sandy Springs Spartans. The win was credited to Micah Davis in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kagetoki Ohayashi took the loss. Earning his 12th save for Rock River was Tsuyoshi Tadokoro.
In the top of the seventh, Wes Alexander stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Spartans were trailing 7-4, but had the bases loaded. That's when Micah Davis made a terrific pitch and Alexander grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Sandy Springs comeback.
The Rats have now won 4 straight.
