Despite a fine performance by left fielder Saad Maan, the Sandy Springs Spartans suffered a 7-3 loss to the Rock River Rats. Maan was 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rock River now sits in third place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division at 29-19.
Matthew Robinson did his part for the Rats, producing a double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, the catcher did the little things right to help the team.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Robinson told the Rock River Bulletin.
