Long Island second baseman Toyoaki Fujii was sensational. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cincinnati beat the Ducks, 6-5. Fujii was named the player of the game despite the loss. Cincinnati reliever Kai-ge Jiao picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Nobukazu Yamada took the loss. Cincinnati now sits in last place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division at 20-31.

Noboru Nishida had the critical at-bat for Cincinnati. With no one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Cincinnati the 6-5 walk-off win.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Nishida told the Cincinnati Gazette.
