The Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Madison pitcher Kyuso Sasaki to claim a 4-2 win at Basque Block Field. Sasaki went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Joseph Colley picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Kyuso Sasaki was tagged with the loss. Duane Lummis recorded the save for Boise, his 1st of the season.

Horiuchi Rin dealt the Beehive a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Boise leading 1-0, Rin hit a 1-2 curveball for a 2-run single.

"We did enough to win," said Rin.

The 5th-place Beehive have lost 4 straight games.
