5 Straight Wins for Lights
|
The Phoenix Lights picked up a win at The Clone Army, knocking off the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 7-3. On the mound for Phoenix was left-hander Thomas Kearton, who played a pivotal role in the win. Kearton, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. The third-place Storm Troopers have lost 5 straight games.
I-tsing Wang had a productive at-bat for the Lights with no one out in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the third baseman hit a run-scoring double. The at-bat was important in the Phoenix win.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Phoenix manager Rod Allen.
