Spokane starter Alfonso Pucci had a strong outing against the New York Ninjas at The Kennel. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-6 win. Spokane reliever Alfonso Pucci was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Kevin Everhart took the loss for New York. Yoshiki Sato, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save.

One significant at-bat for Spokane came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first. Bulldogs first baseman Blair Donahue hit a run-scoring single, which helped Spokane go on to win.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Pucci, "but we got it done."

The Spokane winning streak has now reached 5 games.
