New York pitcher Matis Barrier did his part in helping his team beat the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Ninjas now own a record of 20-20.

Jon Pollard struck a blow for the Ninjas in the bottom of the fourth when he hit a 2-run home run. It put his team ahead, 2-0. For the game, Pollard was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

In comments to the New York Daily News, Pollard insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
