Atherton Powers Lights to 8-4 Win
|
The Phoenix Lights bested the Wichita Wolverines, 8-4, at UFO Field. Wiley Atherton was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Getting the save was Grégoire Maillet, his 10th. The Lights have an impressive 25-15 record.
Phoenix took a 5-4 lead on Atherton's 38th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which he hit off Ichiro Hashimoto in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Phoenix to the win.
