Snaps Deal Storm Troopers 9-5 Setback

It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Snaps fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.
The Cincinnati Snaps downed the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 9-5, at The Clone Army. Jesús Pérez led the way, going 2-for-3 for Cincinnati. Even with the win, the Snaps have a dismal 13-26 record.
Manuel Gómez went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Cincinnati. With one out and the game tied in the top of the fifth, Gómez had a clutch at-bat. Facing San Antonio hurler Noritoshi Hayashi, he hit a 2-run single to give the Snaps a 7-5 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pérez told reporters after the game.
