San Antonio Makes It 7 Straight with 3-1 Win
|
The Cincinnati Snaps got a superb performance from pitcher Andrew Johnson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat San Antonio. The Storm Troopers won the game, 3-1. In spite of the loss, Johnson was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Armando Medina, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. The wins continue to add up for San Antonio, with the latest making it 7 in a row.
The Storm Troopers got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game was tied, 0-0, Arana Kesiraju reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, San Antonio.
"I believe in our guys," said San Antonio skipper Ernie Goslin. "I like the energy they're playing with."
