Predators Walk Off with 10-9 Win
The Topeka Predators electrified The Field at Richmond with a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Topeka Predators downed the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 10-9, in 10 innings. Qui-li Chin led the way, going 2-for-2 for Topeka. Topeka reliever Petya Chajegov was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Kevin Spurr.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Mario Encarnación had a chance to end it. DeKalb pitcher Kevin Spurr had other ideas. But with two outs, Encarnación hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Predators had the win.

"It was terrific getting this win," Encarnación said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

Topeka has a 3-game win streak, while DeKalb has lost 3 in a row.
