The rain came, as predicted, but the Long Island Ducks and Madison Beehive were able to complete their ballgame.

With third baseman Jeremy Guis leading the charge, the Long Island Ducks defeated the Madison Beehive, 8-5, at Long Island Stadium. Guis, who is tied for 5th in the FFL in doubles with 9, went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tom Trewick sewed up the save, his 2nd.

In the bottom of the third inning, Long Island got a break when Guis went to the plate. With two outs, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Ducks trailing 4-1, Guis hit a 3-run home run.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Guis told the Long Island Gazette. "It's as simple as that."

Long Island now has a 3-game win streak.
