Bulldogs Lose, 7-3, at Basque Block Field

The Boise Hawks knocked off the Spokane Bulldogs, 7-3, at Basque Block Field. Carl Questi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Boise won. The left fielder went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Hou-kang Li recorded his 7th save for Boise. The Hawks are off to a tough start, getting just their 12th win in 31 games.
Carlos López wielded some clout for Boise. The right fielder had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth for the Hawks. It put his team ahead, 6-3, and sent them on to victory. For the game, López went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"This is not a one-man show," said Questi. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
