The DeKalb Cornhuskers beat the Long Island Ducks, 8-2, at Earl Campbell Stadium. The Cornhuskers got a fine performance from catcher Yasuyuki Konno, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI. DeKalb has a record of 12-17.
