The Madison Beehive grabbed a 13-2 win over the Cincinnati Snaps at The Hive. Madison first baseman Michael Jenkins went 4-6 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Carlos Duarte, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Cincinnati to 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The Snaps fall to 9-17 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2028 season.

Matsuo Yoshimura was one of the major contributors to the win for Madison. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a double to right-center in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the day, he was 2-5 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Jenkins told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
