It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Wolverines fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.

Wilton Hill never let Boise get something going. The Wichita right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Wolverines to a 4-0 win. Hill, the winner, moves to 1-4. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks.

Parking one for Wichita was Phil Adriaens. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Wolverines. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Adriaens went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Wichita skipper Clyde Bowman. "I can't complain."

With the loss, Boise sinks to 10-16.
