The Carson City Mustang topped the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 6-4, with pinch hitter Griffin Roberge playing a big role. Roberge was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Mustang in the win. The Cornhuskers fall to 11-16 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2028 season.

Robert Dickerson was the walk-off hero for Carson City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Carson City pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
