Ducks Defeat Storm Troopers, 11-4
San Antonio got a terrific game from right fielder Karl Fernandes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Long Island, 11-4. Fernandes was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ryunosuke Ine got the win, improving to 1-2. He held the Storm Troopers to 4 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Getting the save was Moritz Kenter, his 2nd.

Francis Unicombe had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the top of the seventh inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single, helping Long Island to the win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Long Island skipper Bob Reece. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The Storm Troopers fall to 10-13 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2028 season.
