The New York Ninjas dealt the Topeka Predators a 6-3 loss at The Field at Richmond. Hiroya Shimada was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The loss lowers the Topeka record to 13-11.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Ernesto Ramos's at-bat in the top of the eighth was huge. With one out, the New York catcher hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Ramos told the New York Daily News.
