Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Jon Pollard, the New York Ninjas suffered a 4-3 loss to the Topeka Predators. Pollard went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Petya Chajegov closed it out for his 5th save. Topeka has a mark of 13-10 after the win.

Topeka took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, pinch hitter Jim Unknown hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

In comments to the Topeka News, Unknown insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
