Cornhuskers Suffer 4-3 Setback
|
San Antonio Storm Troopers starter António Encarnación pitched a strong game against the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Clone Army, leading the Storm Troopers to a 4-3 win. San Antonio reliever Cody Ladd was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Marc Norton. With the win, San Antonio goes to 9-8.
Jon Massey broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Storm Troopers in front, 4-3. For the game, Massey drove in one run.
DeKalb manager Shusaku Fukuda said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
