Predators Shut Out Rats
In a well-pitched game between the Topeka Predators and the Rock River Rats, pitcher Millard Richardson was fantastic. The Topeka left-hander was named the player of the game in Topeka's 3-0 win. The win was Nafiz Halil's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Douglas Pantall took the loss for Rock River. Petya Chajegov recorded the save for Topeka, his 2nd of the season.

Mike Pennington was a key contributor to the win for the Predators. In the bottom of the sixth with no one out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to right. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Topeka manager Armando Ortíz.

With the win, Topeka boosts its record to 9-7.
