Madison pitcher Yoshitsune Yamauchi did his part in helping his team beat the Topeka Predators, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Madison is now 7-8.
With runs few and far between, the Beehive had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Madison came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when center fielder Pedro Pérez delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Sam Beauvais and made the score 4-3, Beehive. Pérez was 2 for 4 with a double.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Yamauchi.
