The Cincinnati Snaps racked up a win at The Studio, bumping off the Sandy Springs Spartans, 8-1. Dave Conboy, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. Conboy, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. The Snaps are off to a tough start, getting just their 6th win in 15 games.
Cincinnati designated hitter Ignacio Vázquez helped the Snaps to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 23-year old catcher stroked a 2-run double. For the game, Vázquez went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.
