Victory Over Ducks Takes New York to 8-5
New York and Long Island duked it out at Confucius Field and the Ninjas came out victorious.

New York got a strong outing from Matis Barrier as the Ninjas defeated the Long Island Ducks, 4-1, at Confucius Field. Nobuatsu Fukumoto earned the save for New York, his 3rd.

New York took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, first baseman Yo Yamamoto hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New York skipper Reda Guillon. "I can't complain."

With the win, New York goes to 8-5.
