Rats Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Rock River and Sandy Springs met at The Coliseum in front of a lively crowd.
Rock River right-hander Shan-bo Kung was in fine form, shutting out the Sandy Springs Spartans, 7-0. Sandy Springs, at 3-9, is off to a poor start in 2028.
In the top of the second, Matthew Robinson took a changeup from Mike Taylor and pounded a solo home run to left-center. It put Rock River on top, 1-0. For the game, Robinson was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Duncan Kelly.
