García Excels in Long Island Win
The Long Island Ducks reigned over the Rock River Rats in damp conditions at The Rat Hole.

Javier García was instrumental in his team's 13-8 triumph over the Rock River Rats. The second baseman went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Long Island Ducks. The Ducks raised their record to 6-3.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Emílio Carrillo was at the plate when Long Island scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ducks to go in front, 9-8.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Carrillo said.
