The Ducks had to overcome a fine performance from Rock River pitcher Shan-bo Kung to grab a 5-4 win at The Rat Hole. Kung allowed 1 earned run over 6 innings. The win lifts Long Island to a record of 5-2.

Dwayne Pickwell had a go-ahead single for Long Island in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the 23-year old center fielder hit a run-scoring single off Kyu-cheol Ch'oe. His 4th hit of the season made the score 5-4.

"Both teams played hard," said Long Island manager Bob Reece.
