|
Carson City Mustang starter Júlio Herrera turned in a sterling performance against the Cincinnati Snaps, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Herrera picked up the win for Carson City, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Julien Caron picked up the save for Carson City, his 3rd of the year.
Tony Durango was 1 for 3 with a double for Carson City. In the top of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Durango delivered for the Mustang. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Carson City on top, 2-1.
In comments to the Carson City Chronicle, Durango admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
With the loss, Cincinnati is 2-6.
