The Cincinnati Snaps grabbed a 12-7 win over the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Studio. Cincinnati right fielder Kieran Alexander was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Ukessun Ilaes got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Cornhuskers to 4 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 6. The Cornhuskers, now 2-3, have been pitiful so far.

Cincinnati took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from Noboru Nishida. On a first pitch curveball from Dominic Key, Nishida hit a 2-run single. That made it 2-0, Snaps. For the day, Nishida went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
