Cornhuskers Get One-Run Win at Cincinnati
|
Fans who came to The Studio watched the DeKalb Cornhuskers and the Cincinnati Snaps fight to the finish.
DeKalb left-hander Habib Lashari made an effective start against the Cincinnati Snaps at The Studio, leading his team to a 4-3 win. John Patterson finished the game for DeKalb and earned his 2nd save.
Ron Peterson contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that propelled DeKalb to the win.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Cincinnati manager Steve Nolan, "let me know."
The win gives DeKalb a record of 2-2.
