|
Douglas Pantall pitched a gem to lead Rock River to a 7-1 victory over the Carson City Mustang. Pantall went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Ramelan Kathirithamby got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Also pitching in was Rock River pinch hitter Ovídio Roger, who hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, Roger was 1-2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"It's a mindset," said Pantall. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The Rats raised their record to 4-1.
