New York center fielder Shoichi Nakashima had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Spokane Bulldogs, 8-3. Losses have been few and far between for the Bulldogs so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.

Nakashima contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for New York in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-1, Nakashima took a fastball from Jon Keyte and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Ninjas to leap in front, 5-3.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Nakashima.
